That's 31c (88F) water out in front and Irma is starting to make a comeback. Recon is looking grim. Saving grace? Cuba of course. Without it, for sure this is a Cat 5 come tomorrow morning after she's done gulping the straights.
As for the shear? It's only 6kts net effect given tomorrow's forecasted track. So it won't really be that much for Irma to deal with. Yes, the storm is no longer annular, so she may have a bit more trouble, but I highly doubt we wont see at least some strengthening as she comes ashore.
Just pray that the 30mb drop that many models are STILL saying, does not happen. |
