| I have been trying to understand what the hell is going on with Irma's eye all day. By now I think it is clear that an EWRC took place and a much larger eye emerged, but now that eye appears to be collapsing just as it interacts with the north-central shore of Cuba, so it is anyone's guess. Is a pinhole eye developing or is the eye now blanching at it's proximity to the Cuban coast? I think the latter is a slightly more plausible possibility, but recon not too long ago found Cat 5 winds at the surface again and nearly 180 mph at flight level. My head is spinning. |
