I will say it: bad for both coasts

With the trough lining up the way it is, things lifting out a tad sooner and the storm a tad slower... Irma is a bad problem for both coasts.  Essentially the storm comes in perp to the coast and then has to turn nnw about at the lake.

Se florida will see the strongest parts of the displaced CDO and west coast will see the eyewall. In a sense, one could say this is worse than if Irma had chosen 1 side or the other.

All of the major metro areas of the state along with the essential tourist zones, including Orlando, are now under the gun. With the keys being rendered as the leewards were (worse to the east of marathon).  Do the math. Work your geometries. Study the recons.

This is my conclusion for now barring a few wobbles here and there, but averaged out that is the deal.
Let us now put our energies where they are best used, rather than making this a supersubtle eastcoast westcoast thing.

As said during the original spine track at landfall. It is all bad.
