This video is FICTIONAL - It was developed to demonstrate what a Major Hurricane would do the Tampa and the Tampa Bay Area.
Yes, the path shown is West to East, NOT South to North as with Irma so don't beat me up on that point.
I am posting this because it is representative of the POSSIBILITIES that we could see from Irma.
My parents have elected to say in their home on Warners East Bayou. Their home is in Flood / Evac Zone B, but Zone A starts in the middle of the street in front of their house.
They are in their 80's and have been trough TS and Hurricanes before, including Donna in 1960.
I am trying to stay positive, but frankly, the latest Euro run sucks.
Manatee County has evacs posted and when I checked the traffic map, I can see road closures for the Zone A / Barrier Islands etc and traffic jams all over Bradenton.
