I can appreciate your opinion. I don't mind disagreement. From this morning (i.e. 9 hours ago now), Irma *appeared* to be in trouble. You're right though. She's since made a slight job N and has moved off the coast. This has helped. This wasn't the case when the post was made.

Per the winds, I mentioned barely a cat 3, yes? Those were in reference to flight level winds. The recon data from that point in time was max FL winds of ~110kts. The latest from this morning was 105kts. That is a low-end 3.

Per the eye comments, at the time, her eye had shrunk to 10 miles from 30 miles yesterday evening and was wobbling inside the core with the W eyewall very thin per radar.

I can appreciate not agreeing with the language, however, something *appearing* to be falling apart is different from something actually doing so. And at the time, the content pertaining to potential time over land, FL winds, and radar sig of the core was accurate from my viewpoint.

With the above noted, she appears to have moved far enough away from the coast to allow for at least a halt to her decline. And yes, the core appears to be in far better shape than earlier today.
