Food For Thought

Not to debate the reorganization because we can all see that she's doing just that, but a couple of points to consider.

First, she has a very broad windfield so she might be slow to spin her winds back up. That's a lot of momentum to rebuild after losing it raking along Cuba. Recon is in her right now though, so we'll see what they slow with respect to pressure and wind trends.

Second, she will likely go through an EWRC. She has a flat wind gradient and as Levi has pointed out, after land interaction, a hurricane with a flat wind gradient will reorganize with a larger eye. Recon noted concentric walls at 15 and 30 miles, so this may be spot on. If she indeed has to go through an EWRC, this will take time.

She has a finite time over water until she reaches the FL peninsula, so these may limit the degree to which she can regain a semblance of her former self.
