The Hurricane Warning has been lowered to a Tropical Storm Warning for the entire area as Irma continues to move northward away from the region. Bands of showers will continue to rotate in off the Gulf of Mexico with some gusts to tropical storm force possible in these bands. The showers will gradually end from south to north today into early tonight with winds subsiding tonight. Overall the current forecast for the rest of today looks on track and will update products to adjust winds downward some this morning and change headlines.
