I took less than half my boards down. Mostly just the ones visible to people in my deed restricted community. (if they complain about the rest of the ones they can see, I'll take them down) I have a lot that can't be seen in my backyard, covering all the sliding glass doors I have.

I'm also not fixing the 5 screen panels blown out right now. (plus at least another has a smaller rip) Two of them are very dangerous to fix, two stories high over my pool. We'll wait until winter when it's cooler. No need to climb on top of the screen enclosure in the hot sun, sweating, trying to fix them now when another storm could also take out some more.

For 2004, we left most of the boards up. I think Charley got us thinking about hurricanes. Then for Frances we created and put up boards. Then most were still there for Jeanne.

Yesterday we took down some around the bedroom windows for fire safety and another sliding glass door so there is an additional emergency exit, along with most of what is visible from the street.

If you prefer to embed something manually for any of these sites, you can also do that. For Ustream, you can only embed live videos manually rather than using the above feature. No other sites are currently supported.

If you embed something manually please be aware that due to the security restrictions on some browsers manually entering embedded code may not allow it to appear correctly when you view it. However, after you post the message it will work properly. This will not be a problem if you use the above feature to add embedded content.
