Re: humanitarian aid/evac for Puerto Rico & other islands

I wonder if the problem is their leadership. I have heard that there is a lot of corruption in many places including infrastructure. Apparently the country was already in dire shape/bankrupt due to gross mismanagement of previous US funds over decades.

Money and help sent has to go to the people that need it asap, not corrupt officials/businesses who say they are helping recovery but are really pocketing the money.  So sad. And, those same leaders have demanded the US bail them out...and please send more $$!

There are hundreds of people on that island now that have arrived and are addressing multiple issues.  And, a lot of volunteer organizations are beginning to arrive too.  The US is not sitting by not doing anything, but you have got to get safeguards/oversight  in there or the poor people will get nothing.

If you prefer to embed something manually for any of these sites, you can also do that. For Ustream, you can only embed live videos manually rather than using the above feature. No other sites are currently supported.

If you embed something manually please be aware that due to the security restrictions on some browsers manually entering embedded code may not allow it to appear correctly when you view it.
