As for a Cat 1, here on Pensacola Beach we hope to heck that's the worst of it - would probably not be forced to evacuate in that event. The fear, though, is rapid intensification, so we'll be on edge. Not complaining, but if, say, a Cat 3 or 4 were predicted, we'd already be beginning the very onerous job of prepping for evac. Ain't gonna do it for a Cat 1 prediction, even though it's a risk. Just getting too damned old for all this.
Naturally also hope this continues to shift much farther east of us, being entirely selfish. |
