Thanks very much for the kick to get me started, Chris. You're right -- and especially as I don't like seeing the intensity forecast being bumped up even a little bit right now. I started an hour ago and the usual places were already booked starting Friday night. Ended up reserving close to home but not on the island, and it was the last room they had. Whew. Been so long since we've been through this....
Bad part is, this hotel chain, like others, has changed its cancellation policy, now requiring 48 hr advance notice. Can't possibly be sure what to do 'til Thursday, but the clerk seemed to think there might be some softness due to the storm coming. We'll take our chances. |
