I would like to add....

This year the flue type that has been putting everyone down is type A H3N1.  The one that has been killer is type B with additional complications such as getting pneumonia.

Every year when the flu vaccine is made, they base the types of flu to go into the vaccine on what types affect the southern hemisphere during our Summer, which is their Winter.  Apparently the flu vaccine which had H3N1 type A was only 20-30% effective against it.  However that 20-30% could make the difference of you being deathly ill or only having mild symptoms of the flu.

I hate how it has been circulating on social media that "it's quite a coincidence that that NHC is stressing to get a flu shot and more people are sick now than previous years"  or this one "vaccines contain harmful ingredients that can cause birth defects or other diseases to come forth."  When I see those statements I get on my soapbox about the fact that single dose vaccines do not contain heavy metals such as thimerisol (a derivative of mercury, only multi dose vials contain this which most vaccine manufacturers are trying to get away from).

Not to mention the CDC website has a listing of ingredients that are in vaccines based on the vaccine itself. which I will add the link at the end.... Many need to understand that we are injecting animal proteins into us to help us develop immunity, and there are those strange instances where the body will reject the protein (as white blood cells themselves are made up of amino acids and proteins) which can cause an adverse reaction.

Sorry to go into detail...I guess that Biology 101 and 110 is coming out of me again...LOL
