The first thing I did after the electricity (finally) came back on after Hurricane Charley, was start researching hurricanes and severe weather. I found this site that day. I have learned so much from the informed and intelligent people here, and I am continually grateful to all of you. Jim's broadcasts, Chris' links, the insight from all of you, (you, Cypress, included), have been a wonderfuil source of both knowledge and calm information. No hype here, and I appreciate that immensely.
My anxiety continues, but being empowered by knowledge and preparation has helped a great deal. I love that the NWS has created the page you linked here. I love more that I found Hurricane City and Canetalk, and I hope the NWS advice leads more people here.
