It wasn't that much of a difference. At 11am yesterday the NHC forecast was of a 110mph storm weakening to 100mph around the point nearest to Bermuda. As of 5am this morning, 115mph storm weakening to 105mph at a point a little passed Bermuda. 111mph 1 minute sustained wind is a major hurricane.

The NHC's current forecast doesn't show a direct hit either, but they should be getting prepared just in case. If it does brush the island, or hit it more directly, that will mean that out of Jim's 2019 city predictions, released on June 1st to people who donated, his top 8 will have all been impacted to some extent, brush or hit.
