Boeing's unmanned capsule lands successfully on shortened mission after issue prevented it from reaching ISS

It was a test to see if Boeing was ready to start taking astronauts on the capsule to the ISS. They had a test dummy in it this mission.

"The capsule started its flight with an 11-hour error in its mission elapsed timer setting, triggering a cascading series of problems that led to the Starliner burning too much fuel to reach the space station and deliver cargo."

The rocket took off Friday in Cape Canaveral, Florida. It takes off at 1:04:12 in this video.

The capsule landed Sunday in White Sands, New Mexico. It lands at 1:16:18 in this video:

It was a pretty nice view of the launch from Tampa though. There were some clouds in the way early on from my view. I've been waiting for one, that I remember to watch, in which it is dark at ground level but the rocket's contrail is illuminated by the sun which has not yet risen at ground level but it does shine on the contrail.

Some pictures I took. The first two I had to lighten up because they were originally too dark. It was traveling from right to left.

I think the dot in the image below is probably the light from the engines.

A little after you could no longer see the light from the engines and the contrail had drifted a lot already. It was also a few minutes later and it was a little lighter out too.
