I was looking where you are located in relation to the coast and I guess for you wind and rain would be issues the more west it gets. Hopefully it won't be too bad where you are. With a larger storm, and being more powerful, the surge is going to be one of the most dangerous aspects, as it usually is, as it builds up the water. Though I think it could be a category 4 at landfall and it will cause a lot of wind damage, including well inland. It's going to be too close to call to know if this hits a less populated area or a very populated area along the coast until it is too close to landfall for people to be evacuated. I do hope a lot of people in the Galveston/Houston area, along the water, are taking it very seriously and evacuating just in case as they are under a hurricane warning.
