| You're right about trades people sometimes biting off more than they can chew. The people we're waiting on to come back are local to our island, and referred by a local builder who's done work for us before. They're definitely not scammers -- nor have we paid them a penny beyond the cost of the chimney tarping and roof inspection when they completed that work a week ago last Saturday. But they were already slammed when first called for us and doubtless are in a little over their heads. Will give them a bit more time since we've got dry weather predicted for the next several days. More to it, but not important for me to prattle on about right now. |
