Air France flight traveling from Rio de Janeiro to Paris disappeared over the Atlantic

It is reported that 228 people were on board:

It seems like it went down last night in the Atlantic, but it has not been found yet. Bad weather in the ITCZ was apparently nearby, but unless they find the plane they might not know for sure what happened.
