Persistent weather in the Gulf is interesting. There is a frontal system which will come down and push into the gulf coastal waters in a couple of days. So I would think that storminess in the Gulf would tend to be pushed eastward toward Fl. (and who knows) weather might eventually find optimal development even further east off Carolinas (if development occurs at all).
