Models and Western Carib

Any development in this area will be spawned by the pacific monsoon trough(PMT). It's currently over central america/pacific.Development in June occurs as the trough moves north and large consentrations of showers and thunderstorms form under an increasely devergent flow further aiding in falling surface pressures over the southern or western carib. Although this is many days away and things could change, I like the gfs on pin-pointing where a storm will form.

At the very least, t-storm activity should increase over this area as the mid-latitude trough over the gulf pulls NE and upper level ridging builds north. This is the scenario that should pull the PMT north.
