I guess I could add that feature too. I am currently working on two things, one of which I can add that too.
1. Mark new replies since your last visit
2. The chat room
The first thing could be added to to have that ability. The previous board remembered, with cookies, how things were opened on a page for when you come back to it. That, and the ability to mark what replies are new, I did not build into the new board because I was unfamiliar with setting cookies in JavaScript. However, not having posts marking what new replies have been posted since my last visit is annoying me, so I am doing that part. I have been looking at some examples of how to do it and have made an outline of how to construct that. But remembering what should be expanded and what should be collapsed should be rather easy I think. However, it might be a few weeks before I add it. Now that the board is live, I am trying to make very few changes. I'll probably wait until I am ready with the "mark which main thread has a new reply since your last visit" and release both together. (since they are coded very similar and could actually probably share some code that actually sets the cookie) |
