I love the descriptive writing of long ago generations!

My favorite is a book written in the late 1800s that I picked up in a used book store here in town - it's the history of French explorers in North America and their dealing with the many, many Indian tribes they came across.

Talk about a wide range of cultures!

But the writing, the grammar, the incredible descriptivness of it all, pro and con, without political correctness--- priceless!
