Perhaps so, Jac, but I don't find the signature all that impressive as of tonight. Also, its pretty far south (more associated with the ITCZ I think). Another thing, I think this forward area is surrounded by quite a bit of dry air, but it is helping to saturate the air behind it with more moisture, making that area to the rear more likely for development, I think. But in any case, the odds of development are still not all that significant at this time. If this forward area develops it seems like it got more to overcome. |
