| Thanks Steve, yes it has all been a long expensive project, I have often thought about making a short documentary on everything associated with HC & the time it takes to put it all together. I think the perception is that you simply use a front page program fill in a few blanks & wah la all finished. I do everything in plain HTML with over 600 pages to update with only programs for multimedia & have my own server to admin. At this time the HC annual budget of $5,000.00 has already been surpassed between technical/legal expenses & the season has barely started. The donations & subscriptions are crucial to keeping HC running year round. Afterall living in one of the most affected areas in the basin requires HC to run in a worse case scenario, and I think at this point it is about as close as it can get. Also keep in mind there was a bit of rebuilding at this end after Frances,Jeanne & Wilma. |
