New BIG Problem with TWC..

I don't know about you but TWC was my refuge from local, depressing news. I prefer CNN/FOX to local news.

After watching the local news I am usually so depressed from local shootings, accidents, drownings and other assorted "live at five" news stories.

Now...since they changed ownership I have noticed they show one depressing news story after another. They even have Breaking News.. with updates.

I just watched some story about a drowning, a near drowning and a man with a shark bite and they showed the bloody stitched up leg.. something even Live at Five would not show in Miami. The story came from Miami... 

They broke in with some story about a small plane down in California that crashed into someone's home.

They broke in with a story on damage to the Space Shuttle that was hard to find online and was downplayed.. CNN did not send me a "breaking news" but TWC showed it as "breaking news"  ??

So, they let go of some of the better older weather people who didn't fit their demographics, sad. They let go of some of the older women who won't look good in their new tighter, more revealing wardrobe.. oh well..  Guess you need boobs to work on TWC now days, maybe they could pick up some of those sexy Italian weather girls.

My problem is not boobs but when Jim Cantore says that they have NEVER (very seriously said... btw) hyped the weather while covering hurricanes.. it seems to the ONLY thing The WEATHER Channel is not hyping.

Because am real turned off by their ongoing NEWSY look with breaking news where I can be told how many people were just killed in some vaguely, weather related event.

Maybe it's just me.. maybe a lot of people like to hear a young mother and her small baby were swept away in a flash flood with network video. Saw that a few weeks back ...  I know.. tragedy sells.

I used to enjoy TWC.. it was my refuge from hearing how many drownings there were on the beach or about someone being eaten alive by a shark.

Now..Al Roker is coming to TWC... which of course was expected... 

And, don't give me that.."oh i NEVER watch TWC" because I don't believe it. If you have cable or sat tv and you are a weather person you peak, we all peak... hard not to linger when switching channels.
