Glowing clouds across America's night skies

Usually seen only in polar regions these glowing clouds "noctilucent clouds" I think they are called are now being observed in temperate regions like Omaha, Neb. and Paris, France. The mechanism for producing these clouds is fairly well understood, and many scientists think that their appearance in temperate regions may be linked to, you guessed it, global warming. They look beautiful in pics, but I guess down here on the gulf coast, that I'm too far south to ever see them myself. The article.
