Walker Cell doing a number on our Blob

WV shows the subisidence zone ahead of our blob is still intact.
It looks like the anti-cyclone up-draft zone has redeveloped just west of Panama.
This has squashed a good part of the convergence associated with the blob.
QSCAT, 850mb vorticity, and MIMIC-TPW have all weakened considerably.
The LL Convergence map shows that it will be moving into strong downdraft zone soon.
Also seeing a strong UL convergence zone ahead as well.
It is a bit of a mystery to me why convection continues to fire except that it currently is in the end of the diurnal max phase this morning.
I don't see a lot of shear or mid-level vorticity to fire off an MCS.
Maybe, this is a dryline type effect where there is a huge lapse-rate gradient.
