I joined Hurricane City sometime between my move to Wilmington, N.C. in May 2003 and the "official start date" listed here (which is the same date for many of us because it's as far back as the records go) -- and that was beginning of the end of my watching TWC. It's now been a few years since I've completely stopped watching TWC - and if I were to turn it on today - besides being sure of seeing a commercial - from what I've heard on this board - I'd probably not recognize most people there.
Between Jim's website, the NHC and my local NWS websites - there just isn't any need for my using TWC.
In my case, it may be that NBC changes it into something I'd watch - but I doubt it, because I never watched it for entertainment, I watched it for weather reports! If I want to turn on the boob tube - most likely it's going to be the History channel, National Geo or Tru TV (lol - I'm watching "Speeders" right now.)
