I don't blame you, and that would be welcome here in La. But I think the latter part of the season might be something different. Overall conditions for a Cape Verde type storm to make impact along US Coast are not positive right now. But the latter part of the season (after Sept 15th) sometimes plays by different rules. Cape Verde not so important in storm development sthen. Also, a cool summer does not automatically translate into a cold fall. Could have an Indian Summer type situation in which weather from the tropics is drawn up along the Gulf or SE Atlantic coast.
