Cabo San Lucas Radio Ignores the English Speaking Population

Hi There,

After searching far and wide for radio stations down in Cabo San Lucas, I could only find one.  The station is all Spanish.  Well, most of you will say, Spanish speaking country..so what?  Well, ponder this my friends.  The economy in that area is TOURISM.  And most of the tourists are Americans who speak English.  I would think, as least as a courtesy, the radio station should provide updates in English to serve the English speaking population there.  I've been listening to this station for some time now, and since I understand a little Spanish, I could tell they are talking about the storm quite a bit.  I would think it would be in Mexico's best interest to have someone go on the air who speaks English and address the tourists.  Tell them they should leave, routes to get out, etc, etc.

But, I suppose perhaps they didn't think of that.  Does anyone here know the kind of Meteorlogical Service Mexico has?  The amount of revenue that country makes from tourism, I would think they would have enough money to have the best weather service in the world.  But, instead they apparently don't even have enough police to stop the rampant crime and can't even get a person to speak English on the radio to warn their own tourists.  What a disgrace.
