El Nino years and late season

Jim's tropical update and the SST's graphic got me thinking.  With the way the shear has been going over the Atlantic, what is the climatology for El Nino years late in the season (October/November) in the GOM and Carib? My premise is that an early season front moves down and stalls and I seem to recall El Nino years moving storms from the GOM to the NE.  Sooo... does anyone think Florida/Cuba/Bahamas may be under an increased threat as the season moves later?
