great analysis, as always...as of 130am, ida has regained storm strength...i am always in awe of the inherent staying power of tropical cyclones..very hard to start, harder to kill...appears on early morning imagery to be moving a bit east of due north, let see how what vector shows up on the next advisory and whether it is east of the next forecast point. the fairly robust regeneration(in short order) may impart a bit of northeastward bias to the track, at least, in the short term. the depth of the system may outrun the models and increase the eastward displacement of the storm due to the departing mid-latitude system...i also feel that ida will tend toward the right side of the envelope....rich
