LEAD TO ELEVATED TIDE LEVELS SUNDAY THROUGH MONDAY MORNING.

...COASTAL FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT THROUGH MONDAY
MORNING...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN HOUSTON/GALVESTON HAS ISSUED A
COASTAL FLOOD WATCH...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT THROUGH
MONDAY MORNING.

.AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE NEAR THE BAY OF CAMPECHE IS EXPECTED TO
MOVE NORTH INTO THE WESTERN GULF OF MEXICO ON SUNDAY. THIS FEATURE
COMBINED WITH HIGH PRESSURE OVER TEXAS WILL LEAD TO STRONG
EASTERLY WINDS OVER THE UPPER TEXAS COASTAL WATERS AND
INCREASED TIDE LEVELS. TIDES ARE FORECAST TO RUN 1 TO 1.5 FEET ABOVE
NORMAL THROUGH TONIGHT. TIDE LEVELS WILL INCREASE TO 2 TO 2.5 FEET
ABOVE NORMAL SUNDAY NIGHT.

THE HIGHEST TIDE LEVELS ARE EXPECTED TO OCCUR DURING HIGH TIDE
SUNDAY NIGHT. TIDE LEVELS BETWEEN 3.8 AND 4.6 FEET WILL BE POSSIBLE.
THE MAIN IMPACTS ARE EXPECTED TO OCCUR ALONG THE BOLIVAR PENINSULA
AND THE WEST END OF GALVESTON ISLAND. WATER MAY AT TIMES OVERSPREAD
ROADWAYS INCLUDING HIGHWAY 87 ON THE BOLIVAR PENINSULA AND FM
3005 ON THE WEST END OF GALVESTON ISLAND LEADING TO HAZARDOUS TRAVEL
CONDITIONS.

ELSEWHERE ALONG THE UPPER TEXAS COAST AND GALVESTON BAY...BEACH FLOODING
WILL BE COMMON WITH MINIMAL IF ANY IMPACTS ELSEWHERE.

TIDE LEVELS ARE EXPECTED TO QUICKLY SUBSIDE MONDAY AFTERNOON AS
THE WINDS SHIFT TO A NORTHERLY DIRECTION.
