Hurricane landfall likely

Looking over the models, and the fact they have a horrible slow bias with this storm, I am now fairly confident that Ida will reach the NGC as a cat 1 hurricane.

The models are showing anti-cyclonic flow over the system until landfall, though only a poleward outflow channel. For that reason, I do not expect anything more than a cat 1. However, the outflow pattern should not allow for much weakening.

The timing looks to be late Monday or early Tuesday, probably predawn
