Looks like Phyan took a turn east and is already making landfall.
93B on the east coast of India is picking up a lot of boundary-layer theta-e air. Check MIMIC-TPW out.
It is also benefiting from an UL-High/Subsidence-Ridge to its east and getting a great looking poleward outflow channel.
Waiting to see data from RAMDIS and CIMSS, but looks like this could go big.
Don't really see an interaction with Phyan since it is dissipating.
BTW, I haven't been able to get the JTWC web site for over one week now. Have you been able to access it?
