Following is strictly an opinion piece by a Pensacola attorney and columnist - a noted local liberal who makes no bones about it.  So if you don't like strong controversy, PLEASE don't click on the link, but I found it pretty darned interesting. The sentence that first grabbed me:

"Officials at the Pentagon announced that they recognize that global climate change is not only real, but that it is so serious that it could be a 'global destabilizing force.'"
