Since I have been tracking this, my criteria for correlating quakes and flares is as follows:
1) A M-class flare needs to occur. 2) A quake greater than about 5.5 or greater. 3) Location of quake needs to be in sun at time of flare. 4) Quake needs to occur within 6 hours of the flare.
So far I have seen this one, the 6.4 quake off Japan, and the 7.0 Haiti quake.
