I would have to agree with TWC statement.comparison to a hurricane is "just bad meteorology."


Could we get Hurricane force gust?possible.But just because we could get a few gust to hurricane strength you can not make the comparison.

Now if we get sustained winds of 74+ for a while then yes.And if that happens I will walk to Washington State barefoot!!

People who do not know about the weather hear the word snow cane and say we get winds 40-50 and not much damage,The genral public will think this is what will happen in a Hurricane.
