no doubt, I like this paragraph:
"From our human perspective with our relatively short and incomplete memories and better and better communications around the world, we hear about more earthquakes and it seems like they are more frequent," Arrowsmith said. "But this is probably not any indication of a global change in earthquake rate of significance."
I mean, how many ppl were watching the 1960 tsunami "live" from all around the world ? Check out the post I made about the Hilo Bay tsunami webcam, it got over 3,000 "hits", probably from people searching for info around the globe. They just get more publicity in today's age of instant communication - jmo |
