| Less than 24 hrs after a B1.5 flare, the huge prominence today, and the large geomagnetic storms for the last few days. Also had a CME today which will see the effects in about 3 days.  The eruption hurled a bright coronal mass ejection (CME) into space. The cloud is not heading toward Earth, at least not directly. A glancing blow from the outskirts of the CME is possible two to three days from now, but any impact is likely to be mild. The eruption was more photogenic than geoeffective.  |
