I checked GFS 500mb and 250mb forecasts.
It looks like a UL High will develop here in the next couple days.
Also, the mid-level jet that is running just to the north of the convection and causing most the shear has some chance to relax a bit.
So, there is some opportunity for this to develop in this area for the next couple days.
If it really cranks, it may be strong enough to overcome some moderate shear if it makes a move north.
Need to watch and see if hot-towers fire up and we get a hot core.
OHC is relatively high in this spot.
