It sounds to me like the dispersant being used may actualy have a direct impact upon atmospheric process by breaking up the water molocules in both the oil and the sea-water therby allowing greater volumes of water vapor to be transfered into the atmosphere ? ? If I am correct, this of course ''could'' lead to enhanced rainfall rates, stronger convective storms and of course since TS and hurricanes are essentialy huge convective systems, this dispersant given other favorable factors are in place, could cause a storm entering the Gulf to rapidly streagthen.
If there is a silver lining to this dark cloud it could be that a possible increase in convective rainfall might serve to dilute the toxins on land and in the water left behind after evaporation of H2o takes place. At any rate this cotastrophy will prove to be one hell of a learning experiment.I hope that is not why this is taking place to begin with. |
