I just got in, so I haven't been watching it since this morning.

I don't think a hot-tower is firing at the moment.  Maybe earlier it was, not sure.

Deeper convection does seem to be firing closer to the LLC, which is a sign of strengthening; albeit slower than if a hot-tower fired.

Now that the sun is down, the UL troposphere will be cooling which will help fire convection (aka diurnal max).

Maybe in the morning, could have TD01.

A big thing going for it is that the anticyclone is nearly directly on top of the LLC.
