850mb vorticity has strengthened overnight. No vorticity signature at 500mb and very calm at 300mb.
Anticyclone is just to the west and is approaching the LLC.
Good solid convection firing all around at 55 to 60K-ft; however not a lot of high rain-rate yet.
MIMIC-TPW shows a nice evolving boundary-layer theta-e convergence pattern. A cresting feature is shown indicating a possible turn to the NW. The area of convergence also appears small, which could mean a more rapid spin up once it gets above 10N.
UL Winds look good for the creation of a poleward outflow channel. A good semi-circular pattern, with strong enough winds and far enough away to enhance ventilation.
Current sea-level pressure is 1011.5mb.
