I've never seen Recon do that....

From Chris's Google Earth tracking it looks like they literally flew a 360 in the eyewall.  It's usually in and out. They've done it a couple of times.  If this thing can mix out the dry air and go through some RI they are in a great position to get valuable data while the process takes place.
