GOM Situation

Looking at the trough now beginning to dive down into the central Gulf this morning. The area of concern would be along the eastern fringe of that trough (off Appalachicola). Looks like the kind of situation where the trough is pinched off deep in the SW GOM forming a decent ULL there, creating more positive conditions to its NE (just off the northern Gulf Coast) where upper level condtions should gradually become more favorable for development of a surface low--now connected with the trough. ON sat pic see the diving trough (which I think will be pinched off) allowing for development further NE along the Northern Gulf Coast.
