If it does take BP up to two weeks to evacuate and then come back for each storm, assuming there is no damage to wherever they bring the boats and platforms, they better be a lot closer to completion than August. I think they are probably closer with the relief wells than they are really letting on so that if anything does happen they have built themselves some wiggle room on the completion date. Of course whether they will work, that is another story. The way they spin it, they will work, like there is no doubt.

I wouldn't be surprised if we hear tonight or maybe as late as tomorrow that work will be suspended. I don't trust the models on taking this into Mexico. I think this will be closer to the spill site than Alex. How close is completely up in the air, but if they need at least days to prepare, now is the time to start making decisions and begin acting.

It's been unfortunate that the skimmer's have been out of commission for so long. But that does not seem like it will change, will probably only get worse this week. There might be a good day before 96L comes along, but with all those boats that need to get mobilized to a safe place, I'm not sure.
