Afternoon heating of Hispaniola did in fact fire some deep convection.
That appeared to have helped get the core warmed up a bit; however rather broad.
Now getting a 55K ft cell firing in the inner ADT Bulls-eye.
Not a high rain-rate cell though.
Let's see what happens around sun rise when the upper troposphere reaches its coolest point of the day.
It could help to create enough parcel buoyancy to fire a higher topped cell.
