I think the computer models now have a point of reference to draw from, and late this afternoon, they will have computer data to pour into the models, and therefore, we will see the models get more in tune with this system. Right now, the model spread is from Texas to Florida. That's as wide as you can ask for.
Though I certainly hope this is not the case, a central Gulf coast (Lake Charles, LA, to Appalachicola, FL) landfall is coming.
The high, I expect, just will not hold as long and as far west, as to push it to Texas or Mexico, like the last two times.
