I think there is some potential.
Rain rate hasn't been high in any of the cells yet; so that is why there is no quick spin up.
However, it has been steady which means the upper troposphere is slowly warming.
Nothing on models yet.
So, the next 24 hrs will tell.
Steering is to the west, so if it does spin up, looks like nothing to worry about for the GOM.
